Kyiv is the preferred location. Other options may also be considered, provided there is readiness for regular business travel to Kyiv and other cities across Ukraine.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Has proven experience of writing research materials for a variety of audiences, as well as understanding of the importance of tailoring materials for various target audiences. Experience in research related to IHL, particularly concerning prisoners of war or veterans, will be considered an advantage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understands the importance and main challenges of human rights defence, particularly considering the socio-cultural Ukrainian context.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrates the ability to communicate in a sensitive manner with different stakeholders and at-risk groups.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Has excellent time-management skills, including prioritising tasks under tight deadlines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Is ready to deepen knowledge and implement intersectional and anticolonial approaches in research practice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shares the values and principles of the Amnesty International movement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><mark style=\"background-color:#fdff28\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:#fdff28\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Responsibilities and tasks:<\/mark><\/strong><\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To monitor, research, investigate, and analyse human rights-related developments in order to provide timely, accurate, independent, and impartial assessments and expert advice on the human rights situation in Ukraine.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To organize, take part in and lead, upon agreement, field research and other missions, leading specifically on information-gathering, fact-finding, analysis, and assessment of human rights issues, including in response to crisis situations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To represent Amnesty International on the ground and with external stakeholders, including on governmental, inter-governmental and various public forums, as well as to all forms of mass media, civil society organisations, and political, economic, and other actors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To write and present high-quality reports and other materials for publication and internal use, contribute to and provide expert advice on written and other materials drafted by other departments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To contribute to the development of strategies and plans for research and campaigns.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To participate in communications between Amnesty International Ukraine and other Amnesty departments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To contribute to the development and maintenance of an effective information management system.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><mark style=\"background-color:#fdff28\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:#fdff28\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Application requirements:<\/mark><\/strong><\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please send a cover letter (including your salary expectations) and CV to <strong>info@amnesty.org.ua<\/strong> with National Researcher in the subject line.
